The PianoMission

A piano changed James’ life.

Now PianoManOfficial Ltd wants to help put pianos where they can change someone else’s

The PianoMission exists to source, collect, repair, restore and place pianos across the UK — in public spaces, community settings, and sometimes directly with individuals or families who could benefit from having music within reach.

Some pianos may go into town centres, stations parks, schools, care settings, or community hubs. Others may be placed where they can support someone living with mental health challenges, addiction recovery, ADHD and autism.

The goal is simple:

  • Put pianos where people can find them.

  • Make music accessible.

  • Create moments of connection that last beyond the performance.

Have a piano to offer, or know someone who could benefit from one?

Why we’re fundraising:

As James cycles his piano from Land’s End to John o’ Groats, he will be busking in towns and communities along the route.

The ride itself is self-funded through James’ own work as a full-time busker, including tips, performances, merch sales and social media income.

The GoFundMe is separate.

GoFundMe donations support the PianoMission, helping PianoManOfficial Ltd acquire, collect, transport, repair, restore, place and maintain pianos so they can continue bringing people together through music long after James has moved on to the next town.

Where your donation goes

Your donation may help:

  • collect and transport a donated piano

  • repair or restore a piano that still has life in it

  • tune and prepare a piano for public use

  • place a piano in a community space

  • support a piano going to an individual or family

  • keep placed pianos maintained and playable

When you donate, you are not funding James’ journey. You are helping put a piano somewhere it can be played by someone who needs it.
